I am a volunteer in Ethiopia at the Trampled Rose Care Homes. This is a place where young women with the fistula condition can come and receive food and lodging while they wait for their fisula surgeries at the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital. We also provide these girls with self-help training for future small careers and give them city survival skills. To date we have helped over 500 girls prior to their fistula surgeries and also housed those young women who cannot be cured of obstectrical fistulas.
