The Green Children Foundation
Committed to helping the poor of the world.

Our Mission

The Green Children Foundation is committed to helping the poor of the world. We are proud to be working with Professor Muhammad Yunus, winner of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize, supporting microcredit, education and healthcare. We believe in giving the poor opportunity, small loans (microcredit) allow the poor to develop their small businesses and bring themselves out of poverty. Why loans? When the small loan is repaid, the money can then be lent to another poor person. The objective of microfinance is to create a long-term solution for the poor, which becomes sustainable and doesn't rely on recurring donations. Outright charity is not always the best choice because it can stifle entrepreneurship. When money is given to microcredit, it is recycled again and again. The poor have great ability, but they lack opportunity. We are focused on raising awareness about this fantastic method of poverty alleviation.

Dear Supporter, Thank you so much for your generous donation. 100% of your contribution will go directly to a new eye hospital in Bangladesh, saving the sight of thousands of poor people. Microfinance and its supporting programs provide a real answer to the root causes of poverty. We believe in helping the poor to help themselves and have seen first hand that it really works. Thank you for joining us on this journey. We look forward to sending you future updates and photos of the hospital. Because of you, a family has a future. Kind regards, Milla Sunde & Tom Bevan.
