Swallow Hill Announces Shady Grove Picnic Series Lineup

Swallow Hill is pleased to present the Shady Grove Picnic Series, presented in memory of Carol Gossard, back at Four Mile Historic Park, every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. from June 4 to August 27 (except July 2). As always, this series presents the best of local folk and roots artists, with this year's lineup filled with a variety of young, up-and-coming acts that run the gamut of what Colorado's blossoming music scene has to offer. The Series is also a great way to enjoy a nice summer evening with your family as it is all-ages friendly, where you can sit on the grass in the park with your picnic dinner and enjoy great music together.

Swallow Hill Announces Summer Concert Lineup

Since 1979, Swallow Hill Music Association has brought the best acoustic, folk and roots music in the Rocky Mountain Region. Summer brings our annual Shady Grove Picnic Picnic Series, presented in memory of Carol Gossard, with a mix of old favorites plus new, up-and-coming artists, all in the serene setting of Four Mile Historic Park. In addition, we have a plethora of concerts at our facility that encompass everything from unplugged funk to Gypsy and Eastern European styles, gender-bending pop to traditional folk and American Goth folk.

Swallow Hill presents nationally acclaimed folk singer Mack Bailey

Swallow Hill is pleased to present Mack Bailey, member of The Limeliters and The Hard Travelers, to the Daniels Hall stage on Saturday, May 24 at 8 p.m. Hailed as "the next great singer in folk music" by no less an authority than Glenn Yarbrough, who was the original tenor in the fabulous world-renowned folk trio, The Limeliters, Bailey is now the group's newest tenor.

Former Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member Jimmy Ibbotson delivers special Swallow Hill workshop and performance

Swallow Hill is pleased to host country music legend Jimmy Ibbotson as he presents a special artist workshop and performance on May 17. The workshop, Life as a Member of America's Favorite Old Band: The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, will take place at noon that day, with the performance that evening at 8 p.m.

Americana roots masters Marley's Ghost swing Swallow Hill

On Friday, May 9 at 8 p.m., Swallow Hill is pleased to present one of America's most swingin' quartets, Marley's Ghost. Since forming in the mid-1980s, Marley's Ghost has built a singular reputation among discerning roots music lovers for its instrumental virtuosity, ultra-tight four-part harmonies and animated live performances. This year the band celebrates their 20th year with a new CD, Spooked.
