Our Mission

People Advocating for Respect and Consideration of individuals with developmental disabilities.

PARC (Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc.) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit human service agency based in Peoria, Illinois serving adults with developmental disabilities  by providin choices for a quality life.

PARC serves children and adults diagnosed with many kinds of intellectual disabilities or delays, including but not limited to, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism and Epilepsy. We enable individuals to become active member of their community by living in homes and apartments, working in jobs with local businesses, volunteering, being members of local groups and organizations, taking trips of their choice, and participation in local events.

Community services including community-based residential programs, respite care services, day programs, recreational activities, ongoing education, family support services, and vocational training and placement opportunities are now available through PARC.

We foster community inclusion to over 650 children and adults with developmental disabilities in the greater Peoria area.
